Tindari and Santo Stefano di Camastra
Tindaris was settled during the Bronze Age (circa 1500 BC) and in 254 BC became a Roman city. The ruins of some temples and the basilica, are fine example of Greco-Roman architecture begun in the 4th century BC. Also visit the Sanctuary of the Black Madonna a main religious attraction in Tindaris. Visit Santo Stefano di Camastra which is famous for the production of artistic pottery and boast an extremely rich collection.
