Private Birdwatching on the Tagus Estuary
Very close to Lisbon, the Nature Reserve of the Tagus Estuary is one of the most important wetlands for birds in Portugal . This estuary, one of the widest in Europe , is surrounded by productive farmlands and woodland. The mosaic-like landscape comprises wetlands, natural pastures, saltmarshes, saltpans, farmland and cork oak and stone pine woodlands.
